Cooler weather is finally here. It’s been a long hot summer. The fishing should only get better from here on out!!!
Stripers-this fishing has been great all summer, and will get alot better with some great schooling action ahead. downlines and freelines with live herring has been great. Spence islands up to the dam has been the hot areas as of late. Cooler weather and water temps will move these fish to the rivers.
Largemouth Bass- this fishing is great with topwaters early and late in the evening, around long main lake points. flukes and sammys are producing very well right now. shakey heads around these points are also very good.
Shellcrackers and bream-this is a great bite around points, humps and secondary points, in about 5 to 10 feet of water. crickets, red worms and baby nightcrawlers are working great. also for you run and gunners like me!! beetle spins and tiny crankbaits are killin some bream right now, and you can cover alot of water, which is what i like to do. the new moon and cooler temps this week should have them going real good.
Catfish- has been great all summer at night. this bite is getting better and better. Catfish are moving more shallow at night. fresh cut bait is great around humps, islands and points!!!
Do not be deceived, bad company ruins good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33
thought of the week: God calls us to have a positive impact on our environment.
