hello everyone!! hope every body had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends!! Fishing has been great of late!! colder weather looks like it ‘s here to stay for a bit..
Stripers, Fishing is good for stripers, they are all over the lake right now. Freelining fresh herring seems to be the best bet right now! Bucktails and spoons also producing some decent fish, schooling action has slowed down alot.
Largemouth Bass, this action is slowed down a bit. Try fishing shakey heads around docks and secondary points. Rapala shad raps and red eye shad are also working well. Carolina rigs fished a bit deeper with finesse worms are also worth a try. Also bottom bumping with a spoon in 30 feet of water or deeper, around bait balls is also producing some quality fish.
Catfish. catfishing is really good right now. drift fish in 30 to 50 feet of water with fresh cut bait. Also around main lake points, humps and the river channels. Having fresh bait is key to catching fish!!
White perch. Perch jerkin is on!!!! the colder it gets!!! the better it gets!!! Berry spoons are the ticket. find bait balls in the river sections of the lake, and you will find perch!! Fast and furious action to be had!!! perch rigs with minnows working well, but to boring for me to handle. drop shot rig with Berekley power minnows is an awesome bite..This bite for these fish will be awesome all winter. Have fun!!!
I, the Lord ,will be your eternal light, more lasting then the sun and moon. Isaiah 60:20
