Author: Hello everyone!!! Well the weather has been up down and all around! But it doesn’t seem to be effecting the fishing a whole lot! Fishing for about everything has been great!
Stripers- this fishing seems to be great all over the lake right now, with any and all methods working well..Jerkbaits and flukes have been great, as is drifting and trolling live bait. lots of Stripers being caught at about a 1 to 10 ratio of keeper fish.
largemouth Bass-This fishing is great shallow for smaller fish, move out a little deeper for bigger fish. Bigger crankbaits are working well for nice size bass. Smaller crankbaits, shakey heads, and even spinnerbaits will catch numbers of smaller bass in the pockets and the very back of the creeks.
Shellcrackers-This fishing is awesome around secondary points and humps. Redworms and nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig, or a mini carolina rig, about 5 to 10 feet deep is taking some real nice fish.
White perch- This bite is incredible!! Perch are shallow and deep. Small Crankbaits shallow have been taking some really nice fish as of late. And as always spoons fished deeper take lots of numbers. Fast and furious action to be had!!!
